Description

Our client is an internationally renowned company that offers access, formwork and other service solutions to the construction and related industries throughout the world. Job Purpose: To find and win profitable business on major projects within Libya. Main Accountabilities: To sell formwork, access solutions and associated services to contractors across the region. To propose technical and cost effective formwork and scaffolding solutions enabling the company to secure a wide range of work in infrastructure, civil and urban project opportunities. Ensuring the full delivery of projects from inception to completion on a technical and commercial basis. Specific Responsibilities: To establish contact with new customers and build a client database. To establish the company's products as a credible offer in the market place, against the local competition. To pitch for and secure business through professional and effective tendering, involving a full design and quotation process in line with the company’s policy. To provide weekly/monthly reports, as directed, to the Regional Business Development Director. To provide accurate forecasts and project pipeline data on an agreed basis. To liaise with the Regional Design office to obtain design schemes and quotations for customer presentation. To ensure that the company is represented as a respected and professional supplier throughout the region. Person Specification: As a new start-up position, this role will necessarily be an independent role, requiring someone who is well used to working alone, with support from the Regional team based in UAE, but without constant supervision and monitoring, and able to perform to required standards under pressure. The successful candidate will preferably be a fully qualified engineer or designer, with significant experience of offering technical solutions to customers undertaking civil, commercial and residential developments, with at least three years relevant sales experience in this area. Suitable non-qualified professionals with appropriate business sector experience, may also be considered. Must have experience of selling/hire of construction products including formwork, access and edge protection, etc. Must be a fluent Arabic and English speaker, and ideally already located in Libya or a neighboring country, with own accommodation available, suitable also for office work from home base. Must hold a current driving license covering the countries of the region.
